| Fans of Unkind, Tragedy, From Ashes Rise, Link, Morne, Fall of Efrafa, Madame Germaine etc. – REJOICE! Your new heroes might have just materialized. MYTERI from Gothenburg, Sweden, play epic, soaring and heavy as fuck crust punk that will make you wanna raise your fist to the sky, get into your riot gear and start a full blown fucking riot. This is incendiary music about the biggest struggles of being alive and being a human when your species is the worst fucking thing in existence and you are well aware of that. Myteri’s music evokes apocalyptic landscapes, torn apart by war, plague, misery, and famine, but their songs are not completely devoid of all hope. There is a shining light in this band’s music that seems to be almost incendiary, like a torch for survival. The last light of hope left in a world otherwise plunged into shadows. The only light left to find the way out of the misery mankind has pulled upon it self. Survivalism and freedom are huge conceptual elements in epic crust like this, and Myteri seem to really have wanted to emphasize this with their sapient use of epic d-beat gallops, war-torn vocals, and heavy, melodic riffing. Myteri’s debut full-length album is a sprawling and unforgiving opera of darkened heavy punk that draws much influence from legendary crust bands like Amebix, Antisect, Anticimex and Totalitar, and from head-on collision-like d-beat bands like Wolfpack, Doom and Disfear. But the real genetics of the band lie mostly in epic Spanish crust like Cop On Fire, Ictus, Ekkaia, and emo-crust in the vein of Remains of the Day etc., where the punk assault can be real, incumbent and heavy as fuck, but eerie melodies mostly coming from the guitars can also make the songs more luminous and atmospheric. In any case, this is a prime example of amazing melodic heavy crust – if you like Tragedy, this shit will clamp on to your soul and not let you go ever again. Out now from EverydayHate. |

| Myteri are a band from Sweden that plays a mixture of melodic hardcore and crust punk and this is a review of their self titled 2016 album which was released by EveryDayHate Records. Clean guitars and nature sounds start off the album as well as a brief use of spoken word samples and after the intro the music goes into more of a heavier and melodic musical direction as well us using some growling vocals which bring in a touch of death meta while also mixing in some angry hardcore style vocals. All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and the riffs bring in a lot of crustcore elements and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic fashion and a great portion of the tracks are very short in length and as the album progresses clean playing can be heard in certain sections of the recording and one track also brings in a brief use of back up female vocals. Myteri plays a musical style that takes crust and mixes it in with a melodic style of hardcore to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Swedish and cover political themes. In my opinion Myteri are a very great sounding mixture of crust and melodic hardcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Act Right Now" "Deforestation" and "Nykter". 8 out of 10. |

| U Andrzeja w labelu zespoły lubią zaskakiwać nie tylko muzyką, ale i... okładkami! Szwedzi z Myteri swoją wizją graficzną wyprowadzili mnie w pole, bo mimo, iż wiem jaki jest profil muzyczny EDH, to jednak byłem (nie)święcie przekonany spoglądając na przygnębiający obrazek zdobiący tą płytę, że zaraz poleci albo jakiś leśny black metal albo w najlepszym wypadku jakiś post-hardcore. A tymczasem zaraz po intro wybrzmiały dźwięki zgoła odmienne. Owszem, hardcore'owe, ale wcale nie przygnębiające. Wręcz przeciwnie! Skoczne, buzujące energią i, co ciekawe, rĂłwnież melodyjne! O tak, Myteri brzmią jak taka brudniejsza i głośniejsza wersja Ignite. No i wokal szorstki (zarĂłwno po szwedzku jak i angielsku rewelacyjny), taki właśnie na pełnym wygarze! Żadnych melodyjnych chĂłrkĂłw czy refrenĂłw - od początku do końca, pomijając melancholijne intro, świetny, klimatyczny wstęp do "Fran Vaggan Till Graven" czy wręcz "filmowe" outro, jazda na pełnych obrotach. Warto pochwalić gitarzystĂłw, ktĂłrzy choć grają całkiem proste tematy, to przy okazji generują dużo fajnych wibracji. A i solĂłwki cieszą ucho. Słychać, że panowie zamiast na ilość postawili na jakość - płyta jako całość wypada bardzo dobrze i przede wszystkim, co może zaskakiwać, biorąc pod uwagę urozmaiconą atmosferę, spĂłjnie. A jeśli weźmiemy pod uwagę fakt, że jest to debiut to tym bardziej notowania SzwedĂłw idą z automatu w gĂłrę. Część zgromadzonych tu utworĂłw pochodzi z wydanej w 2014 roku EP "The Silent Death" - dobrze, że Panowie je ponownie zarejestrowali, bo w pierwotnej wersji brakowało wg mnie przysłowiowej kropki nad i. Materiał ma już prawie rok (dzięki m.in. EDH wyszedł dopiero teraz na CD) więc w głowach piątki zawadiackich punkowcĂłw pewnie już tlą się pomysły na nowy stuff. Tym czasem polecam pełniaka Myteri, ktĂłry do mojego skostniałego metalowego pĂłłświatka wniosł sporo świeżości, polotu i zadziorności. Skal! Ocena: 7.5/10 |

| Dziś będzie melodycznie. Ludziska kojarzący moje preferencje prawdopodobnie pełni konsternacji drapią się teraz po czołach, względnie pośladach. CĂłż, raz melo to nie głuchy, czy jakoś tak. Tym bardziej, jeżeli melodyka ta podana jest w sposĂłb ciekawszy niż ten znany z ogromnej większości nudnych melodeathĂłw, metalcore’ów i tym podobnych potworkĂłw całkowicie pozbawionych sensu istnienia. Neocrust to taki crust punk, tylko że miększy, smutniejszy, grany zazwyczaj na wyższych dźwiękach, mniej energiczny i często uznawany za guza na ciele starszego brata. Mi takie granie nie przeszkadza, a czasem nawet daje radochę. Debiutancki pełniak szwedzkiego Myteri to dziesięć kompozycji w takich właśnie klimatach. A także około dwudziestu pięciu minut. Wydane toto zostanie (bazuję na notce promocyjnej) przez EveryDayHate, Fight For Your Mind oraz Halvfabrikat. Czy płytę można nazwać smutną? Nie wydaje mi się. Melancholijna czy przygnębiona też nie jest, chociaż pojawia się tu sporo sugerujących to dźwiękĂłw. Myteri jest pełna molowych dźwiękĂłw i melodii, brzmiących całkiem ciekawie, jeżeli nie słyszało się wcześniej czegoś w ten deseń. Chłopakom nie chodzi o zejście jak najniżej i uzyskanie brązowej nuty, nieskrępowanie korzystają z całej długości gitary, używając dźwiękĂłw i akordĂłw wszelakiej wysokości. Do tego płyta wręcz kipi od motywĂłw przyjemnych uchu. Płyta może i jest z gatunku tych prostych, ale każdy musi przyznać, że Myteri naprawdę umie stworzyć miłe uchu, bardzo punkowe kompozycje. Wystarczy odsłuchać pierwszy po intrze Bakom Stängda Dörrar (solo jest świetne). Nie brzmi to pozytywnie, gniewnie też nie specjalnie. Bardziej chodzi o smutną złość. Czuć ją na mocniejszych kompozycjach, Act Right Now czy Nykler. Z drugiej strony, mamy też utwory bardziej „balladowe”, raczej wolniejsze i mniej energiczne, Deforestation chociażby. Spytacie, ktĂłre wcielenie jest lepsze? CĂłż, dużo bardziej wolę te bardziej wkurzone. Bardzo możliwym jest, że to przez zboczone upodobania muzyczne, ale Myteri gra jakoś tak… sofciarsko. I to nawet przyjmując ich założenia. Jestem pewny, że daliby radę wepchnąć w dźwięki więcej emocji. Agresji, mocy, wkurwu i prędkości, ale też depresji z drugiej strony. To prawdopodobnie syndrom debiutu i niedługiego stażu, mam wrażenie, że dalej będzie lepiej. Nie sposĂłb jednak nie nazwać Från Vaggan Till Graven utworem po prostu za miękkim, żeby nie powiedzieć mdłym. Problemem może być też monotematyczność dźwiękĂłw. Trochę za mało się tu dzieje, przez co pod koniec można czuć powtarzalność. Niezbyt widoczną, ze względu na świetnie dopasowany czas trwania, i raczej niedokuczliwą, przez wspomniany już talent do pisania fajnych, po prostu fajnych piosenek. Zresztą, przesłuchajcie Utbränd, wszystko się wyjaśni. Trochę szkoda, że większość utworĂłw nie dorasta do niego poziomem. Nie mogę oprzeć się wrażeniu, że Myteri jako płyta miała przekonać do crustująco-hardcore’owo-punkowej muzy młodych. Nie odbierajcie tego jako obrazy, ona po prostu widzi mi się jako naturalna opozycja do zespołĂłw pokroju Pierce the Veil, I See Stars i tego typu potworkĂłw sceny wspĂłłczesnej. Idącą pod prąd, niedopasowaną do oczekiwań, ale za to oferującą przyjemne, piosenkowe ujęcie muzy (niespecjalnie) ciężkiej. Czy to dobrze? Sami zdecydujcie. Słowem podsumowania: jeżeli masz dość ostrzejszego, crustowego łupania w stylu Wolfbrigade i chciałbyś coś punkowego, melodycznego, piosenkowego i ładnego, a przy okazji z nutką melancholii (chwała Latającemu Potworu Spaghetti, że nie poszli w stronę smęcenia a’la Ekkaia) to daj Myteri szansę. Nie jest złe. Ocena: 7/10 |

| Myteri is truly a band that is angry. Unfortunately a bit hard to hear the lyrics and unfortunately a bit hard to see the lyrics in this little CD as well but I do not have a doubt a minute that there would be a few texts about things that are not worth writing about. For then endeavoring to not to be so angry! Hardcore yes but that's not really the typical Swedish crustpunk but it is a guitar there in the background that makes my emofeelingsto surge. Maybe I'm wrong there but the guitar does a lot for the music and the Myteri sounds really own really. It feels as if the guitarist is a skilled guitarist, and it's great that he gets out that of this hard music. So there is much in Myteris music which is good but I would like to have a singer(not another singer) that I heard a little bit better! The lyrics I mean. 19/11-2015 |

| Myteri är verkligen ett band som är arga. Tyvärr lite svårt att höra texterna och tyvärr lite svårt att se texterna i denna lilla CD också men jag tvivlar inte en minut på att det skulle vara några texter om saker som inte är värda att skriva om. För då bemödar man sig inte med att vara så arg! Hardcore javisst men det är inte riktigt den vanlig svenska kängpunken utan det är en gitarr där i bakgrunden som får mina emokänslor att svalla. Jag har kanske fel där men den gitarren gör mycket för musiken och att Myteri låter ganska eget egentligen. Det känns som om den gitarristen är en skicklig gitarrist och det är kul att han får ut det i denna hårda musik. Så det finns mycket i Myteris musik som är bra men jag skulle vilja ha en sång som jag hörde lite bättre! 19/11-2015 |

| Taková jako neobehraná historka, tu určitě neznáte haha … haha ... takhle mi jednou ve schránce přistála nenápadná obálka ze Ĺ vĂ©dska. Znáte ji? Tak v tomhle přĂpadě to bylo trochu jinak. Drze jsem odpověděl na nabĂdku zaslánĂ demo nebo spĂš debutnĂ nahrávky švĂ©dskĂ˝ch Myteri, páč za prvĂ˝ … Ĺ vĂ©dsko a za druhĂ˝ … crust. Jo a za třetĂ ex-Eskatologia. TakĹľe ta druhá část historky uĹľ bude vlastně pravdivá. Nenápadná obálka v tĂ˝ schránce přece jenom byla, akorát jsem na nĂ čekal (a nemohl se dočkat). Čtyři vály. A z repráků se na vás spustĂ temnĂ˝ hardcore / crust ve stylu Ekkaia nebo prvnĂch dvou alb Tragedy. Jako já vĂm, Ĺľe spoust z vás uĹľ má po krk nekonečnĂ˝ho mnoĹľstvĂ Tragedy / From Ashes Rise klonů, kterĂ˝ jsou někdy hodně otravnĂ˝, ubrečenĂ˝, dojemnĂ˝ a emotivnĂ a v kapelách působĂ jemnĂ hoši a dĂvky, kterĂ˝ se bez postnutĂ na sĂť (svoji oblĂbenou nebo spĂš neoblĂbenou aplikaci si dosaďte sami ..) ani nevyserou a jejichĹľ ĹľivotnĂ náplnĂ je po pár měsĂců jejich jepičĂho „hardcore“ Ĺľivota řešit jestli v paštice Patifu je Ă©čko, kterĂ˝ náhodou jelo vlakem kolem stáda krav … ale tak určitě ne? Die hard fanošouvĂ© zůstavaj ne? A dokážou ocenit a poznat kvalitu co? Oddělit zrno od plev. TudĂĹľ a proto. V Myteri působĂ tĂ˝pci, kterĂ˝ maj něco za sebou (např. Eskatologia … dle mĂ©ho názoru neprávem opomĂjená kapela) a jejichĹľ šedivĂ˝ vous rostl a poroste dĂ˝l neĹľ hipsterovo okouzlenĂ z Tragedy nebo Fall Of Efrafa. TakĹľe tahle smečka je taková jako stará nová kapela s borcema, kterĂ˝ vědĂ, kterou strunou vám maj polechtat spĂcĂ mozkovĂ© závity. Je to agresivnĂ, rychlĂ˝, melodickĂ˝ a má to kurva tah na bránu. Předpokládám, Ĺľe to nebude dlouho trvat a dočkáme se nějakĂ˝ho vinyl překvapenĂ (tak já jako uĹľ vĂm … ale nesmĂm řĂct). MezitĂm si tyhle čtyři vály můĹľete poslechnout a i třeba rovnou stáhnout do vašich ajfounů na jejich bandcampu. |
