The story of DISTRESS is so long but this story is similar to hundreds of stories of other punk bands. Distress began in the distant past of the year of 2003 when the four guys from different local punk bands decided to start with new band to make more raw and aggressive noise. Times passed, line-up changed but two ingredients stay the same through times and situations: the original singer Alex’s voice and the band’s signature sound - Swedish style D-Beat mixed with touch of metal and gallons of booze.

DISTRESS shared stage with: Napalm Death, Discharge, Antisect, Oi Polloi, Tragedy, Warcry, Wheel Of Dharma, Infekcja, Visions Of War, Diskelma, Wolfbrigade, Warcollapse and plays on numerous festivals including: Obscene Extreme, Play Fast or Don't, More Noise For Life, Puntala Rock, Hygget, United Help Festival, Svora Fest, Minimum Pop Fest and hundreds of gigs mostly in DIY venues.
